What our customers have said on TripAdvisor
We had lunch here in mid-week and what a pleasure. The staff were very friendly and helpful, there was a reasonable range of food and all 8 people in our party were really pleased with their selection. Well presented, full of flavour and good sized portions. We stopped off here on our way to somewhere else and were really pleased that we made the detour. If we happen to be in the area again The Artichoke would be high on our list for either lunch or evening meal.

We found the Artichoke at the end of a bike ride and what a find. Its so inviting, the food is delicious, really hearty and big portions and the staff are really friendly. Definitly and winner!

Stumbled along The Artichoke at the end of a 9 mile walk with my husband. What a gem! White bait was excellent and the Cumberland sausage devine. The onion gravy was very morish. My husband was very pleased with the Spitfire gold. Customer service was great. A friendly reception and splendid afternoon. Will definitely be back with my two young sons as they have a very nice garden and children's menu too. Not many pubs like this with proper pub grub around anymore.

Review us on TripAdvisorWe celebrated my 70th birthday here and found the food to be outstanding. The lamb chops in particular is a dish I would recommend. The staff and landlord were welcoming and particularly good with the children. Since, I have become a regular visitor to the pub and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed lunch or a formal dinner.

Review us on FacebookI went to the Artichoke for a family meal , we all enjoyed our meals , I especially as I had steak which was cooked to perfection which was medium rare , when asked if the meal was okay, I had to say that the steak was to perfection unlike a steak I had in Jamie Oliver's at Westfield which was crucified . Thanks very much to the chefs at the Artichoke
